studies and tools for seismic risk reduction

The one-day workshop includes 8 interventions by researchers and university professors, seismologists, public officials, technicians and professional experts. The aim is to involve the different skills that deal with seismic risk, so as to allow a dialogue on the contents and future prospects.

Attention will be paid to the studies and scientific insights developed by the Provincial Geological Service in recent years, in close collaboration with the University of Genoa and the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics – OGS of Trieste. Topics of local interest will be addressed, from seismic monitoring, to seismic microzonation, to regional seismic risk, topics however treated within an overall vision. There will be no shortage of references and discussions regarding the structures and design of works.

The final round table, hosted by Viviana Lupi, science communicator journalist of the Bruno Kessler Foundation, will constitute the synthesis of what was presented and the opportunity for a constructive discussion between public administration and professionals.

All this for the development of greater awareness of the seismic risk in Trentino, not only among professionals but also among the entire civil society.

The event will be held in person and, for the accreditation of the professional associations of Geologists, Engineers and Architects, it is necessary to register by sending an email to the [email protected].
