“In Puglia, over three thousand IT professionals are needed every year”

In Puglia, a need for over three thousand resources with IT skills is estimated every year to fuel the ongoing digital transition and respond to the growing needs of public administrations, regional and extra-regional companies, the latter increasingly present in our region with offices for the development of digital solutions. Born to partially respond to this demand for digital resources, the project ‘Digital Empowerment for placement’ will specialize 280 unemployed Apulians between the ages of 34 and 50 in three of the most popular IT fields: cybersecurity, digital tourism and automated logistics, intelligent and integrated. The project, financed by the Digital Republic Fund within the PNRR and organized by Business School Spegea, Consorzio Mestieri Puglia Scs and Polytechnic of Bari, will be presented in Bari on Friday 10 May at 10am in the conference room of the Spegea headquarters (viale Japigia, 188).

To make known the training courses (completely free) and job placement courses, the Bari stage will be followed by seven others in the month of May throughout the regional territory. All information about the courses is online at mestieripuglia.it.

Presenting the project at the Bari event will be the president of the Puglia Mestieri Consortium, project leader, Vito Gencothe contact person for the Institutional Activities of the Digital Republic Fund Francesco Urbanthe director of Spegea Business School Rossana Montemurno and the president of the Start up Lab center of the Polytechnic of Bari Claudio Garavelli. Friday’s infoday will also be an opportunity to analyze the digital skills currently required by Apulian companies thanks to the discussion between the vice-president of Anitec – Assinform and the president of Exprivia Domenico Favuzzithe coordinator of the Tourism section of Confindustria Puglia Maximus Solomonthe president of the Transport and Logistics Section of Confindustria Bari – Bat Giuseppe Totorizzo and the contact person for the Employment Services Coordination of the provinces of Bari – Bat and Foggia, Valentina Elia.
