“I drive well, I drive safe” at Colombo in Sanremo

Sanremo. The boys of the Colombo Institute, with the intervention of some officers of the municipal police force of the Municipality of Sanremo (agents Alessio Ferrigno, Bruna Luca, Provosto Luca, led by the deputy commander Dr. Biondi Zoccai) and the White Cross of Imperia (with the rescuer Davide Marino), within the project ‘I drive well, I drive safely’, they carried out some interesting road education activities.

There were two moments of meeting. The first was theoretical and happened a few days ago. This morning, however, practical activities were carried out in the school courtyard with the help of some very modern non-polluting electric motorbikes provided by the organisation.

“The purpose of today’s meeting – the organisation’s contact person, as well as the federal technician, tells us Italian Motorcycle Federation, Livio Bellone – is to convey to kids what virtuous behaviors are, from the correct use of helmets to driving techniques. Along an obstacle course that we rebuilt in the school courtyard, the kids tried their hand at riding our electric motorcycles. We are satisfied with the enthusiasm they showed. Prevention and education are essential to avoid accidents which, unfortunately, are still frequent especially in this age group.”

«This second session here at the Colombo Institute – Dr. Biondi Zoccai tells us instead – It’s practical and kids particularly like it. The aim is to raise awareness among them, even those who already have a license and a motorbike, on the correct behavior for their safety and that of other road users, always with the adequate use of all safety devices”.
