Agriculture, Sichetti (Cia) points the finger at the delays – Notizie d’Abruzzo

“As part of the so-called ‘Green Table’ on agriculture, held in recent days, decisions emerge that raise more doubts than confidence in the future of the sector”. This was stated by the president of the Abruzzo CIA, Nicola Sichetti, in sharing the main decisions that emerged, defining the delays for Abruzzo agriculture as “unacceptable”.

During the meeting, the association recalls in a note, the delicate issue of downy mildew which has hit Abruzzo companies hard was addressed. An important sum of 2.5 million euros has been approved for the 2023 year, with the aim of addressing the damage caused by this disease.

“We have made important decisions regarding the use of funds for the year 2024. We have decided to activate a tender aimed at reducing the interest rate for agricultural companies that have suffered a significant drop in turnover or production. We want to ensure that all companies that need support can access these resources, not only the wine-growing ones but all the companies that operate in our territory” we read again in the note in which it is specified that “The remaining 5 million euros and 7, 5 million euros committed but not yet financed will be transferred to Agea, which will make additional payments to companies located in Abruzzo, using the rankings of the applications currently being submitted. As regards the Uma, it was decided to raise the advances to 95% of the 2023 assigned and to give the new companies a lump sum assignment, pending the resolution of the technical problems.
