The final day of the initiative created by Femminile Universale will be held on Sunday 12 May, Mother’s Day.

Fiumicino, 9 May 2024 – From 25 April the open-air exhibition created by Femminile Universale, a spontaneous collective born in the Fiumicino area, has revealed the faces, lives and businesses of 9 women who, over the centuries, have transformed their abilities and passions into an instrument of liberation and self-determination.

“9 familiar places in our territory – explain the organizers – have preserved the history and commitment of these women, later revealed by the townspeople who found and shared on social media the images of the totems dedicated to each of the protagonists:

Starting from 10.30, in Via Antonio Angeloni in Fiumicino, at La Esmeralda – LaboraStoria’s permanent civic laboratory, the totems dedicated to the protagonists of the exhibition will come together to create an opportunity for meeting and discussion on the theme of self-determination women and the recognition of women’s rights.

The program is very rich:
• Display of the totem and presentation of the Mothers
• Round table: Femminile Universale talks with Dr. Elisabetta Canitano, gynecologist, president of the Vita di Donna Onlus Association, activist for sexual and reproductive rights
• Educational laboratory on affective emotional education and respect for diversity, organized by Drs Cristina Ciaralli and Miriam Codispoti

Presentation of a book by Libreria Matrioska
Exhibition of the works of Santa Jerina

The meeting is free and open to anyone and everyone.”
