Over 300 financiers from Abruzzo at the Vatican Museums and Gardens – L’Aquila

THE EAGLE. Over 300 financiers belonging to the Abruzzo regional command and the dependent departments of all the provinces of Abruzzo, as well as serving in the School of Inspectors and Superintendents, went to Rome, together with their families, to visit the Vatican Museums and Gardens, the Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Church. Numerous members of the Abruzzo sections of the National Association of Italian Financiers also participated.
The event, organized by the Regional Command, is part of the social protection initiatives aimed at increasing the well-being of personnel, in a year – the current one – in which the Fiamme Gialle celebrate their 250th anniversary. Support was broad and heartfelt among soldiers of all levels and their families. The regional commander, brigadier general, was present Germano Caramignoliwhich made it possible to organize the visit as a moment of aggregation between members of the “family” of the Guardia di Finanza.
There was great enthusiasm among the participants, who wanted to dedicate a day to sacred culture and art, recognized as a universal instrument of dialogue and peace between peoples and different religions.
Visitors were in fact able to admire works of inestimable value and unparalleled beauty including frescoes by Michelangelo, Pietro Perugino, Sandro Botticelli; Raphael’s Rooms; the Gallery of Geographical Maps; the Art Gallery with paintings by Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and Caravaggio; the Pope’s Gardens and much more.
