LIVORNO – Constellationcoordination of the Livorno scene, is the new project that involves the many realities of the “live show”, which, working in synergy, while each maintaining its own peculiarity, propose to all the mayoral candidates for the next elections, so that the institutions are sensitized to economically and politically support the new Labronica theater platform.
The objective, in fact, is a plan that brings together the Association’s proposals on the city’s live entertainment system and which the association intends to propose on this occasion to the citizens and political forces that are candidates to govern the city in the coming years, so that this issue also becomes part of the political debate during the electoral campaign.
“Constellation” is acultural Association which contains within it some of the city realities that professionally deal with theater and dance, Il Grattacielo Art Center, Vertigo, Pilar Ternera/ntc, Compagnia degli Onesti, Orto degli Ananassi, Atelier delle Arti, Teatro Agricolo, Compagnia Dimitri/Canessa, Teatro Trabagai.
In this regard, a tool identified to harmonize the different functions and imagine this innovative modus operandi is the activation of a permanent table coordinated by the Administration which brings together Costellazione, Fondazione Teatro Goldoni, Fondazione Lem, and professional entities in the sector, in order to facilitate planning dialogue and imagine new scenarios.
Constellation, also asks to promote a generational pact aimed at overcoming any relational barrier between generations, to help children and adolescents escape from conditions of social isolation.
The themes that Costellazione considers crucial are:
The recognition of the cultural centers present in the city and of professional companies as a necessary system for the development of culture and the well-being of citizens, recognizing the training and educational value of entertainment.
The increase in resources allocated to the sector so that those same resources are able to respond to medium and long-term interventions and strategies. In particular through the provision of tenders or assignments that consider the value of the quality and quantity of working days, opening days and number of spectators, promoted by the entities promoting the initiatives in the Livorno area.
The definition of clear functions that establish precise responsibilities and artistic vocations on the part of the subjects present in the area (who professionally dedicate themselves to live entertainment).
A plan that guarantees and supports the plurality of artistic expressions, cultural, educational and interaction opportunities between artists and citizens.
Actions aimed at generational turnover, imagining interventions aimed at consolidating young realities with a view to intergenerational exchange and collaboration.
A new pact between theater and school, which sees all those who deal with the cultural growth of the new generations involved in a common strategy aimed at overcoming the risk of relational impoverishment and isolation of today’s children and adolescents.
Increase in investment
Costellazioni hopes for an overall increase in resources, which would allow the implementation of concrete actions aimed at initiating:
Real support for independent and private entities that pursue goals shared with the administration and of general interest, which over the years have been capable of defining new forms and new models of production, sustainability, as well as cultural offerings in the area.
A process of increasing funding and harmonizing functions with identification of the responsibilities and needs of all the subjects that make up the live entertainment system in the city, enhancing the identities of each subject also within the city’s cultural agenda.
Interventions and support through tenders and assignments that take into account qualitative and quantitative indicators.
Adequate support aimed at renewing the languages of the scene.
An investment in young people and in the plural growth of demand for live entertainment.
For several years, the production companies, the cultural institutions and the owners of residencies and festivals have represented one of the most significant innovations in the culture and live entertainment system of the city of Livorno. Costellazione works to ensure that this system is strengthened, protected and encouraged by the Public Administration. It therefore proposes the following requests:
Destination of a chapter of expenditure to support those who have already undertaken design paths recognized and supported by public bodies and for those who want to undertake it.
Optimize the paths of the subjects of Residencies and Festivals also as interlocutory subjects for the promotion and organization of the cultural life of the city of Livorno, with a view to providing a resource and opportunity for the entire live entertainment sector by encouraging dialogue with the other subjects present on the territory.
Costellazione also requests the activation of a permanent table coordinated by the Administration which brings together the representative realities of the live entertainment system, with the aim of facilitating the functions of individuals, harmonizing the overall vision of the entire live entertainment system.
Costellazione focuses on the professionalism of the subjects:
Recognition of training as a privileged tool for relating to new generations, which places the relationship between theatre, live performance and school at the centre, understood as equal subjects in dialogue, operating jointly and in a complementary way for the training of new citizens.
Through the signing of an agreement between schools, CRED, Theaters and Cultural Enterprises present in the city, it seeks to identify shared parameters aimed at identifying the professionalism of those who deal with theater training in schools, identifying a contact person for theater projects for each institute .
Allocation of adequate resources for the training of the public, intended not as a collateral action to the live entertainment activity, but rather as its foundation, aimed at intercepting the public from scratch and guaranteeing opportunities for accessibility to large segments of citizens who would otherwise be excluded through targeted and continuous.
Allocation of adequate resources for training and proposal of refresher courses for the teaching staff and operators in the technical and organizational artistic sector.
Finally, Costellazione believes it is crucial to invest in supporting emerging young talents, offering them opportunities and spaces for growth. The key actions are:
Support interventions and calls for emerging artists, with a long-term plan.
Network projects that aim at the growth of emerging realities which, with a view to exchanging visions and experiences, lead to real collaboration with the system and its more structured subjects.
Promotion of a culture of intergenerational collaboration; support a culture of intergenerational collaboration in which emerging artists can dialogue with more professionally trained artists and, the latter, be inspired and stimulated by new voices.
