And now Eni has even requested the convening of another services conference in order to obtain the modification of the provision and the revocation of the obligation to dispose of hazardous/industrial waste outside the Calabria region possibly using existing landfills in the city of Crotone itself.
Hence the decision taken by Crotone Provincial Federation of the Democratic Party, in the person of the Secretary in charge Leopoldo Barberio, has decided, at the hands oflawyer Francesco Pitaroto send an extrajudicial notice and formal notice to Eni’s address, announcing, in case of failure to comply with the contents of this document, “to take legal action to protect the territory and the community of Crotone and the health of the citizens in order to obtain the effective disposal of waste outside the Calabria region and also in criminal matters with the deposit of a exposed/complaint directly against all those who have failed to carry out waste disposal outside the Calabria region by virtue of immediately effective and binding acts and of all those who have failed to supervise and control the execution of this obligation, requesting that investigations be carried out in relation to the detection of the crimes referred to in the articles. 452 bis of the criminal code (Environmental pollution), 452 terc of the criminal code (death or injury as a consequence of the crime of environmental pollution), 452 quater of the criminal code (environmental disaster) and 452 terdecies (omitted reclamation) and any other type of crime”.
