The security problem it concerns Brescia, it’s true, but it extends to the entire province. Many young people arrested and identified over the last weekend between the station quadrilateral and Piazza Vittoria live in the villages. Meanwhile, on the morning of 6 May, the direct proceedings took place at the Court of Brescia and the proceedings concerning the three people arrested on Saturday 4 May by Polfer officers. Two adults and a minor, two of Roma ethnicity and one from Eastern Europe and all residents of the province, created more than one problem on the train arriving from Venice.
When the train conductor asked for Polfer intervention in Brescia, the police intervened. While the police attempted to calm things down, the young people kicked and punched the officers. Arrested for resistance, the minor is in the Beccaria prison in Milan after hitting one of the policemen on the head with the heel of his boot. The others are obliged to stay in Brescia while awaiting proceedings in the middle of the month.
What happened on Saturday, in essence, was the classic straw that broke the camel’s back. After all the railway police, in the Brescia area, intervene at least five times a day for passengers who on trains and at the station don’t want to pay the tickets or create disturbances. The level of attention remains high even in Victoria Square, where the police force carried out an important check on Saturday afternoon in the area between the two fast-food outlets in the centre. Dozens of people were identified by police officers while they were standing in the square and only one boy caused any “little problems”.
Saturday was a restless afternoon in the city, considering what also happened at the San Polo Parco metro. «The baby gangs occupied the pedestrian area leading to the bus station and tried to rob passers-by» says a witness. Then they moved and beat and robbed a 43-year-old from Concesio.
