The accident occurred when the arrival station of the train was just a few meters away Bema zipline, in Valtellina. A 41-year-old woman died after falling from the Fly Emotion sports facility. The victim is Ghizlane Moutahir, born in Morocco. She lived in Oliveto Lario, in the Lecco area. Her body was recovered in the woods where it fell from a height of forty meters. The Morbegno Alpine Rescue technicians and the firefighters intervened late on Sunday morning.
The investigations are entrusted to the Sagf of the Financial Police. First of all, the dynamics of the accident must be clarified. The woman slipped out of her harness. This could have happened due to the straps breaking, due to an error in the attachment at the start, but the more difficult hypothesis also remains that she detached herself after being taken ill. The plant was seized and the prosecutor’s office also ordered an autopsy on her body.
The Fly Emotion facility is the only one in Italy that allows you to travel on two different routes, round trip, with a harness and a trolley that slides along a steel cable. You “fly” at 230 meters above sea level between Bema and Albaredo to San Marco, on the other side of the mountain. The route is just over a kilometre.
