During the month of April, the vicars of the Diocese of Savona-Noli took steps, with specific elective assemblies, to indicate the new vicars forane, who were then appointed by decree by Bishop Calogero Marino.
Two confirmations: for that of the Levante (from Albisole to Cogoleto) Don Silvester Soosai, parish priest of Celle Ligure and Sanda, for the vicar of the Ponente (from Spotorno to Finale Ligure) Don Giuseppe Militello, parish priest of Finalmarina and Monticello.
In the vicariate of Savona Don Angelo Magnano, parish priest in San Paolo Apostolo and Santa Maria della Neve, takes over from Don Adolfo Macchioli. The latter, parish priest in San Giuseppe in Savona and San Martino in Bergeggi, takes over from Don Alessio Allori as the new vicar of Vado.
During the elective assemblies the vicars also took steps to vote for the members of the new diocesan Presbyteral Council. Members by right are the vicar general Don Camillo Podda, the four vicars forane Don Adolfo Macchioli, Don Angelo Magnano, Don Giuseppe Militello and Don Silvester Soosai and the CISM delegate Father Francesco Rossi. Members elected by the clergy are Don Iosif Demeterca, Don Germano Grazzini, Don Danilo Grillo and Don Antonio Ferri. Episcopal-appointed members are Don Alessio Allori, Don Lorenzo Cortesi, Don Selvaraj Devasahayam and Father Giuseppe Maffeis.
