Palazzo Chigi Albani, 5 million allocated

SORIANO NEL CIMINO – «With great satisfaction I announce the approval of the allocation of 5 million euros for the recovery of Palazzo Chigi Albani, the most important architectural heritage of Soriano nel Cimino. I would like to thank the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano, for having endorsed this fundamental contribution which will have a positive impact on our Province.” Thus the Honorable Mauro Rotelli, president of the Chamber’s Environment, Territory and Public Works Commission. «The minister’s interest in this architectural jewel – explains Rotelli – was born during his visit last October, on the occasion of the Chestnut Festival. During that day, I had the pleasure of accompanying him, together with the mayor Roberto Camilli, the councilors and the representatives of the majority, to show him the beauty of this artefact and to highlight the current state of the structure. The splendid news came today (yesterday, ed.) that the State-Regions Conference approved this fundamental financing. This is not only yet another sign of the Meloni Government’s closeness and interest towards Tuscia, but also an important step forward for the recovery and valorisation of the historic center of Soriano nel Cimino. Palazzo Chigi Albani is in fact a distinctive element that makes Soriano one of the most evocative places in the Province of Viterbo. The financing, included in the strategic plan for major cultural heritage projects promoted by the Ministry of Culture, will soon be formalized through a ministerial decree which will be subjected to evaluation by the Court of Auditors. I am confident that the accounting and judicial body of the State will recognize the value and importance of this intervention, especially after the positive pronouncement of the State-Regions Conference. I therefore thank Minister Sangiuliano and the Meloni Government for the commitment and sensitivity they continue to demonstrate towards our territory. This latest financing represents a great opportunity to preserve and enhance our rich historical and cultural heritage”, concludes the Fratelli d’Italia deputy.
