Here are the final verdicts of the three Serie C groups. The playouts will be played in the home and away matches on 12 and 19 May. The playoffs should begin on Saturday 4 May but the date is sub judice due to Taranto’s appeal to the Coni Guarantee Board against -4 in the standings.
The president of the Lega Pro, Matteo Marani, this evening he said: “We have convened an extraordinary Board of Directors for 12.30pm on Monday 29 April to decide the starting date of the playoffs, in light of the judgment still pending before the Coni Board of Guarantee on Taranto’s appeal. The possible postponement of the playoff start date will be examined by the Council. In the next 24 hours, according to the indications of the FIGC – which I thank for their efforts – we should know the official day of the hearing at CONI”.
Among the hypotheses is that of postponing the playoffs to Tuesday 7 May. Which would mean Arezzo would have to play in Alessandria, almost 400 kilometers away, on a weekday. The starting times of the matches are yet to be established.
