TURIN – “I learned from the media that some state managers of metalworking companies participated in the convention in Pescara of a party of the majority in government. The direct participation in electoral initiatives of representatives of public companies is harmful to the company and to the workers. It had never happened that political forces used state-owned companies before the vote.”
He states it Michele De Palma, general secretary of Fiom-Cgil. “It cannot happen that the daily work of thousands of workers is made available for propaganda initiatives in view of the elections. Independence and autonomy are elements that in our opinion must characterize public companies because they are a result of the country generated by work”, says Palma again.
The statements of the Fiom representative refer to the affair, which occurred in Pescara, of the two public managers, Bruno Frattesidirector general of the National Cyber Security Agency, placed in the role by the Meloni government in March 2023, and Stefano Pontecorvopresident of Leonardo, a company active in defense, 30% controlled by the Ministry of Economy, appointed in May 2023: both were immortalized holding the t-shirt with only the Fratelli d’Italia electoral slogan printed on the Pescara stage of the FdI conference.
