“I have decided to take a step back and support Antonio Coppola as a mayoral candidate to demonstrate respect and love towards Castellammare, a city that can no longer wait, a city that deserves commitment and participation, beyond personalisms”. This was said by the lieutenant of the Guardia di Finanza Antonio Alfano, who has signed an agreement with the group of ASL manager Antonio Coppola for the next municipal elections. Agreement which for the centrist leader “is a pact for the future administration of Castellammare, the one that will change the destiny of our fellow citizens”.
“My step back from running for mayor – explained Alfano – was born from a political and programmatic confrontation with Coppola. Ours is a group that looks to the future of Castellammare in the interest of the people of Stabia and is against personalism. Unlike those who impose names from above, those who propose so-called personalities that have little to do with Castellammare and its history, we have chosen Antonio Coppola as Mayor because he is a native of Stabia who has made his social and professional commitment to Castellammare and his community forever. With him – continues Alfano – we shared a strategic vision of Castellammare which must aim to guarantee adequate services for its citizens, but above all, decorum for all its neighbourhoods. Safety for those who live in the city and those who visit it as tourists. A city that offers guarantees of efficiency and that focuses on the strengths and professionalism of Stabia”.
