The event was dedicated entirely to Tom Jobim

Great public success for the concert held by the pianist Egidio Ventura, organized by the Agimus of Catanzaro, which was held at the Palazzo De Nobili in Catanzaro on April 26th.

The Trio led by Pianist Egidio Ventura was joined by two precious musicians Andrea Brissa on double bass and Giovanni Caliò on drums, who dedicated the repertoire entirely to the famous Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim.

They masterfully interpreted some of the most important compositions of the Maestro della Bossanova, a true and honest tribute through the revival of his many interesting original compositions from Wave to Luiza, Samba de uma nota so, Zingaro, Waters of march, Aguas de beber, Falando de amor, Triste, Voce and eu, Angela and as an encore the composition Photography.

A fantastic Trio that was characterized by the extraordinary ability to improvise naturally and with great creativity along the melodic lines traced by Tom Jobim.

The Agimus of Catanzaro once again offered us open and illuminated paths, high quality music and artists, positioning itself as a highly receptive place for music in Catanzaro and Calabria, portraying itself as a musical event capable of maintaining a high artistic level despite without resources and becoming, at the same time, a privileged meeting and discussion place; expected by those who produce music and those who listen to it.

All this thanks to the Municipal Administration and the Agimus do Catanzaro which promotes and gives concrete content the value of a cultural policy also understood as an opportunity for training, growth and development of an open and participatory social conscience. With the hope that this concept will also extend to those other institutional districts.

During the concert, an important work by the artist Umberto Falvo entitled “Caos Primigenio” was exhibited, as was the masterful introduction by Tea Mancuso.

Satisfied are the President of the Agimus of Catanzaro, the lawyer Raffaele Silipo and the Artistic Director M° Andrea Brissa who work intensely for culture in the Calabria region.
