TODAY WITH SANTO STEFANO – Last October the demolition of the property began at the intersection of Via Bonicalza and Via Aldo Moro in Today with Boxing Dayto review traffic and ensure greater safety. But the area could have been used better» says the section secretary Silvano Sasso. «Furthermore, the now famous designed roundabout has reappeared. It’s disorienting.”
The parking lots
As per the project, the demolition of the building – among other planned interventions – guarantees the private sector an area of 430 square meters which will be transferred to the Municipality, where a car park will be built (it was supposed to have 13 parking spaces initially, then they were halved). Here the Northern League intervenes: «Parking spaces are created in a deserted area, which will be of no use to anyone. At most, only to those who live in that area.” And he adds: «It was an area that for parking, in any case, it could have been used much better».
The round appears again
Not only that, in that very area some time ago the roundabout printed and placed at the intersection, ironically renamed “navel of the world” by former councilor Piero Colombo, caused discussion – there was still the centre-right in government. As soon as it took office, the Ghiringhelli council had announced measures to remove it, but now that “sticker” is once again a topic of discussion. «It has reappeared and is creating confusion, especially – continues Sasso – considering that heavy vehicles pass through that point: they arrive and stop in the middle of the road. In short, it is ambiguous». And he specifies: «Then, in reality, a roundabout is needed. But a real one, not a drawn one».
From greenery to video surveillance
The League then extends its criticism to other topics. As the “disastrous” care of public green areasquoting the Villa Colombo (“Have they never noticed that there are rotten walls in the Cascine?”) or the Burlera (“A thicket”).
Also in the sights video surveillancewhich is «non-existent: they participate in the tenders but at the end it is always scarce». Finally, the criticism of the streets: «In some streets They haven’t fixed the potholes yetas in an industrial area.
