Modena wins 1 to 0 against Sudtirol, Mister Bisoli beats his former team thanks to a goal from Zaro midway through the second half with a header from a corner, three well-deserved points. Modena is therefore unblocked, having not won since 3-0 in January against Parma. Today’s win is in fact the Canaries’ second success of 2024 but it is a very heavy victory that almost definitively chases away the shadow of the playouts that had begun to appear. hovering over Braglia for a few weeks.
The hosts started off strongly and worried Poluzzi already in the 5th minute with Palumbo who tried from outside, touching the post, the guests responded ten minutes later with Casiraghi challenging Gagno who stood out with an excellent save. After a phase where the South Tyroleans move the ball in search of space, Casiraghi is still dangerous and on the half hour he tries from a free kick but Gagno is still there. At the end of the first half Modena made their presence felt again with Gliozzi turning his head but the game was stopped due to a foul, with few opportunities in this first half of the match.
In the second half Modena started off very well, pushing and winning several corner kicks where, however, they were unable to threaten, on the other hand Sudtirol continued to make themselves heard by calling Gagno out on a couple of occasions. In the 22nd minute, after a series of substitutions for both teams, the home team took the lead, with Zaro scoring with his header from the corner taken by Battistella. Sudtirol tries to react but without too much conviction without creating great dangers in the Gagno area despite the changes by coach Valente. The final minutes pass without any great opportunities on either side and the match ends 1-0 with Modena in clear control and deserving of this victory.
