As part of the first FAI regional project in Trentino and Alto Adige “A waterway that unites people. The Adige and its tributaries”which intends to tell the story of the Adige river from its source to its mouth, the Bolzano Delegation will lead to discovery of Bronzolo and its ancient river port. The initiative is part of the FAI salvalacqua campaignwhich aims to raise awareness among the entire community of the need for a medium-long term national water strategy.

Five appointments over three months, from April to the end of June (the program in detail on the following page). We began on Saturday 13 April with visits to the “Bridgehead Museum” linked to the Via Claudia Augusta in Lagundo and to the historic hydroelectric power plant of Marlengo together with the FAI Group of Merano. The next meeting will take place Saturday 4 May with a visit to the town of Bronzolo in two stages: first you will discover the secrets ofancient river port (until the arrival of the railway it was considered one of the main commercial hubs of the region), then we will move to the main square of the town, where we can admire the church of San Leonardoa true jewel of local art.
