Great jazz makes a stop at the Cicconi theatre

Two illustrious names on the Italian jazz scene, Roberto Zechini, guitarist and composer from Fermo, and Giovanni Falzone, trumpet player, will be in concert at the Cicconi theater with ‘Echoes Sustain Able’ on 30 April for International Jazz Day. An anniversary that has been celebrated in Sant’Elpidio a Mare for several years on the initiative of the Municipality and the Syntonia Jazz and Amat Association, and which serves as a preview of the 25th edition of the Sant’Elpidio Jazz Festival, scheduled for 23 July and 7 August. ‘Echoes Sustain Able’ is the latest project written, arranged and directed by Zechini who has always involved young musicians in his artistic experience and, specifically, will see young performers from different regions of Italy in action, militants in the orchestra -workshop created and directed by Zechini ‘Il Chitarreto dei Jazzemani’. The basic lineup (two guitars, Zechini and Luca Di Nisio, Samuele Brunori on bass and Luca Di Muzio on drums) includes the contribution of the award-winning European trumpet talent Giovanni Falzone, one of the most appreciated musicians today. The original compositions, signed by Zechini, cover both the bandleader’s recording history and the new and current compositional directions.
