The countries that will host Coldplay’s 2024 tour dates have been announced with a video: there is Italy! The only dates of the “Music of the Spheres World Tour 2024” should take place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome
After the jubilation of the 6 Italian dates in 2023 – on 21 and 22 June at the Maradona stadium in Naples and on 25, 26, 28 and 29 June at the San Siro stadium in Milan -, Coldplay will return to Italy in 2024. The stop, apparently the only one, for the next tour seems to be Romewhich appeared in video trailer with the image of Ponte Milvio. So it could be Olympic stadium the theater of the Italian dates of the band led by Chris Martin.
During the Amsterdam show on Sunday 16 July, in fact, Coldplay launched a video in which the country flags who will host the “Music of the Spheres World Tour 2024”: Greece, Romania, Hungary, France, Germany, Finland, Austria, Ireland and finally Italy.
Coldplay return to Rome after 21 years
The last time Coldplay performed in Rome was on 23 June 2003 at the Central Tennis Foro Italico, opening were Turin Brakes and The Coral. Now, 21 years later, Chris Martin and partners are ready to return to the capital.
Already in 2017 the group led by Chris Martin had expressed a desire to play at the Stadio Olimpico but the opportunity was not seized by the junta of Virginia Raggi, then Mayor of Rome. The Olympic stadium depends on the MEF and the general manager Diego Nepi explained a few months ago: “Coldplay at the stadium? My promise is to bring them to Rome and we are already working on it for 2024″. A promise (perhaps) that will be kept.
