While the legal proceedings take their course, it would not be appropriate for him to continue in the Contest.”
During final of Eurovision Song Contest 2024 performances are scheduled Loreenwinner of the 2023 edition of the competition, the reunion of the Swedish dance group Alcazar and the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Abba’s victory with «Waterloo» (the protagonists of the tribute will be Charlotte Perrelli, Carola and Conchita Wurst).
Those watching the broadcast in participating countries can vote using the official Eurovision Song Contest app or via phone and/or SMS. However, those watching the broadcast from any other eligible non-participating country can only vote via the online platform www.esc.vote.
At the end of the voting, the top 10 most popular songs from each participating country will be awarded points from 1 to 8, 10 and 12 points. The 10 songs that received the most votes from non-participating countries (this category is identified as “Rest of the World”) will be assigned points using the same scale (they will have the weight of one additional voting country).
The public of each participating country will then assign a total of 58 points (from 1 to 8, 10 and 12). The online voting for the Rest of the World will also assign a total of 58 points (from 1 to 8, 10 and 12) and the same number of points will come from the juries of the 37 participating countries (from 1 to 8, 10 and 12). The 8, 10 and 12 points awarded by the national juries will be announced by the spokespersons of the participating countries, who will appear in connection with the Malmö Arena (for Italy there will be the presenter Mario Acampa).
After all juries’ points have been awarded, the combined total audience points of the participating countries and the Rest of the World will be presented (starting with the country in last place after the juries’ vote). The scoreboard will then be gradually updated and the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be announced.
In case of a tie, after having distributed all the points of the public and jury votes, the winning song will be the one that has obtained the highest score among all the public, nationally and Rest of the World. After the final, all voting results will be published on the official website of the event eurovision.tv.
