MILAN-TURIN. It’s 3.30am on April 21st, it’s dark and raining. Come on camera images surveillance of the building shows the first phase of the beating of the VIP personal trainer Cristiano Iovino. In via Marco Ulpio Traiano, near City Life, the black minivan speeds by and stops suddenly in the middle of the road. The first to go down is Fedez himself who, in fact, on the same night was reported by the police for fighting.

Fedez: “Journalists are more interested in what I do in the evening than in the Palestinian genocide”

In the video, the rapper approaches Iovino and tries to hit him with two punches. He manages to dodge them and prepares to respond when two other men who get out of the van, much bigger than him, intervene. During the attack, the three move out of the field of the camera which focuses on the square at the entrance to the residential complex, right in front of the two security guards. A total of nine people will get out of the van. Among them we also notice a blonde girl.

Fedez: “Journalists are more interested in what I do in the evening than in the Palestinian genocide”

Also confirming the presence of the rapper – who yesterday broke the silence and denied everything from the Turin Book Fair – are the two guardians of the building. They recognized him and raised the alarm, despite the threats received: “Mind your own business, don’t call anyone”, the attackers ordered him before leaving. And, precisely for this reason, a few hours after the “punitive expedition”, while waiting to identify the others, Fedez was reported to the prosecutor’s office by the police for brawling, a crime that can be prosecuted ex officio.

His name is there, Federico Leonardo Lucia, in the «CNR», the communication of the crime news which summarizes the violent evening and which was included in the file opened by prosecutor Michela Bordieri for injuries and brawl.

Guest at the Book Fair to talk about mental health, Fedez denies everything and takes it out on the newspapers: «Let’s limit the facts: there is talk of a tissue that came out of the prosecutor’s office – he claims -, where circumstances are attested, yesterday. Today everything has changed, so at least one of the two sources is not reliable.”

Then the rapper assures: «I wasn’t there. From what I read, it would seem that you can’t see who’s there from this camera because it’s dirty from the rain. What are we talking about?”. He continues: «There is talk of nine people who would have massacred one and these nine would all belong to the Milan curve, therefore ultras with a certain physical size. An ambulance arrives and, magically, after a scuffle with nine ultras, no one is taken to hospital. And therefore there is no medical report because the person did not require treatment. Everyone talks about a massacre, but if this person wasn’t taken to hospital, she didn’t report it and above all they tell me that three days later she was in Ibiza dancing, what are we talking about? The truth is that if it weren’t for my name there wouldn’t be any files and this stuff wouldn’t even be news. This is my thought”.

Then, as jurists teach, Fedez underlines: «The crime of personal injury must have a medical report dating back more than forty days and consequently even if he had hurt himself there is no crime: there are no details».

It is true that, for the prosecutor to proceed ex officio for injuries, a prognosis of at least forty days is necessary, but a medical report from the doctors involved is on file. And, in any case, injuries can be investigated if the victim files a complaint. The personal trainer – who disappeared from social media after that night and was known for having coffee with Ilary Blasi before the separation from Totti – has not yet sued, but has 90 days to do so.

When the ambulance arrives, Iovino is in his apartment. He is scared, he has a “cut on his eyebrow”, various bruises, he is treated by the 118 rescuers but, despite their invitation, he refuses to be transported to hospital. When he was attacked, with him – the witnesses say – there were “two men”. In the house, the police find the former tronista of Men and Women, Salvatore Angelucci. Neither he nor Iovino say a word about the attack. The victim only mentions “a fight that occurred shortly before at The Club with unknown people”. He then refuses to report it, explaining: “I reserve the right to speak to my lawyer first.”

The indication of the fight in the club on Corso Garibaldi is fundamental for those investigating. Fedez was the special guest DJ on the closing night of the Salone del Mobile. Surveillance camera videos are captured at The Club. You can see the commotion in the private room. Then the bouncers who escort Iovino to the door first, immediately after the singer and his group. There is the rapper Taxi B, Gresy’s friend Ludovica, the Rossoneri ultras bodyguard Christian Rosiello, and some other well-known faces from the Curva.

Someone records that the glasses flew “due to too much appreciation for the girl”, and that after the fight Iovino and Fedez “exchanged messages and arranged to meet at the personal trainer’s house”. In words, for clarification. But only blows emerge from the thirty seconds of film. Which the prosecutor’s office is now investigating. —
