How is Princess Kate, her husband William speaks: the breach of official secrecy after the cancer diagnosis

A small sign of confidence arrives regarding Princess Kate’s health conditions, despite the strict secrecy imposed by the British royal house. It is Prince William who talks about his wife and future queen, after the cancer diagnosis announced last March. During the second day of the visit to Cornwall, a woman asked William how the Princess of Wales was: “She’s doing well”, was her response, relaunched by the British media. For the heir to the throne of Charles III, the trip to Cornwall was the first public outing of more than a day since learning of his wife’s illness. William visited St Mary’s Community Hospital today, on one of the islands in the small archipelago of Scilly. Throughout the day, the heir to the throne tried to appear relaxed and smiling. He also spoke of his three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, who would have been “very jealous” in recent days of his trip to Cornwall. Of that territory, William also bears the title, as duke, and has promised to bring them to Cornwall next year.

A head nurse at the hospital, Lynda McHale, finally entrusted him with a letter, written by her granddaughter, with wishes for a speedy recovery intended both for Kate – who has been undergoing chemotherapy since the end of February, as we understand – and for King Charles III: who has also been diagnosed with cancer, but who has already returned a few days ago to a gradual resumption of his external public activity, which resulted among others yesterday in a surprise visit to a British military base outside London, in the county of Hampshire.
