Katia Ricciarelli will be one of the protagonists of the next interviews of Monica Settain “Stories of women at the crossroads“. The episode, which will be broadcast on May 21st on Rai2, traces the life of the singer and her suitors. Among these, obviously also Pippo Baudowith whom she married on 18 January 1986, her fortieth birthday, and from whom she separated in 2004.
On her relationship with the famous host, Ricciarelli makes an unexpected confession.

“Me and Pippo Baudo we lost a child before we got married and we tried to have another with assisted procreation,” she revealed Katia Ricciarelli during the interview with Monica Setta.
«I loved him very much and I was very jealous even though before him I had had important loves and great passions», says Ricciarelli, referring to José Carreras, of which he says: «When we met in the hotel our suitcases always remained at the entrance, because as soon as we entered the room we ended up in bed making love without foreplay. Once I happened to go to Venice, while he was supposed to be in New York. I received a phone call at the hotel and I noticed that he had a strange tone. I thought, here he is in America alone and he is cheating on me. After two minutes there was a knock on the door and it was José who had surprised me.”
But not just Carreras, either Alberto Sordi he courted the beautiful Katia Ricciarelli, with bouquets of a hundred red roses at a time: «He was a passionate man, there weren’t just kisses between us, as they said. Alberto introduced me to his sisters, took me home even though I knew he would never marry. They said he was cheap, but he was very generous with me.”
