One of the latest episodes of Verissimo was characterized by an unexpected phrase, which left millions of viewers speechless.
Verissimo is undoubtedly one of the most followed television programs in Italy, the last episode aired on Sunday 5 May in fact exceeded a 20% share and 2 million viewers. This is therefore an extraordinary success, which places the program hosted by the talented Silvia Toffanin at the top of the afternoon time slot.
What is most surprising is the longevity of the famous Canale 5 talk show: its first episode dates back to 16 September 1996. The current presenter instead arrived on 23 September 2006, precisely in the twenty-eighth edition. In any case, during a recent episode millions of viewers were literally left speechless due to a shocking announcement.
The famous Mediaset television programme, which airs on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 4.30pm to 6.45pm, recently exceeded 2,600 episodes. It is therefore a very successful rotogravure talk show, capable of attracting millions of people every week in the afternoon slot.
It should also be remembered that the main objective of Verissimo is to interview famous people and to deal with light topics, such as news from the world of entertainment and gossip. One of its strong points is naturally represented by the interviews, every week around 2 million viewers remain glued in front of the TV listening to the guests.
For example, on Sunday 5 May Silvia Toffanin hosted 8 famous people. In fact, the very long list included Alessandra Celentano, Rudy Zerbi, Michelle Hunziker, Anna Tatangelo, Alena Seredova with her son, Serena Bortone and Ilayda Cevik. This last they told some anecdotes about their lives working and private, alternating moments of happiness, joy and intense emotion.
However, one of the characters who has most left his mark in the recent history of the program is undoubtedly Iva Zanicchi. The latter, who sat on Verissimo’s sofa a few months ago, gave a shocking interview, which generated a real television earthquake. In particular, the three-time winner of Sanremo spoke about her husband’s health condition Fausto Pinna.
The well-known Sardinian music producer, married to Iva Zanicchi since 1986, has unfortunately been fighting a rather aggressive cancer for some time. The Emilian singer also revealed that in the past her husband smoked as many as 90 cigarettes a day.
Nonetheless, he never had any major health problems, until the day the doctors diagnosed him with cancer. After the terrible news, Iva Zanicchi immediately decided to slow down her career, to dedicate more time to Fausto. However, he specified that his choice is not a farewell to the scene, since he has only stopped concerts and not television appearances.
