La Russa and Mussolini upside down: the post-shock of the actor Riondino

Now you can’t call yourself an artist if you don’t have an attack against the government under your belt. The last one was signed by Michele Riondino, appreciated actor and director, as well as organizer of the May Day concert in Taranto. Once proud of having embraced the project of the 5 Star Movement, then renounced the Apulian interpreter on the occasion of April 25th he put in the crosshairs Ignazio La Russa with a post published on Facebook which sparked the uproar. In fact, on her profile she posted an old photo, dating back to 1992, of the President of the Senate next to a portrait of Benito Mussolini turned upside down, a clear reference to the end of the Duce in Piazzale Loreto, in Milan.

The refrain is always the same, but the companions don’t seem fed up. And Riondino took things further: “The really funny thing is that there was a time when fascists were more authentic, more bold, they were lions, even if only for a day”. The face of “The Young Montalbano” accused right-wing extremists of once claiming their identity without fear of being accused of being traitors and murderers of their homeland, while today they would be afraid to define themselves and claim their faith: “They betray their identity by swearing on the anti-fascist constitution and then by sitting on the armchair they become champions of super bullshit, black belts in climbing mirrors. I say this sincerely. There are no longer the fascists of the past. Only sheep. This is what yesterday’s fascists who have become today’s rulers are. Better a life as a sheep than a day as a lion”. In closing, the like-catcher par excellence: “Long live the resistance”.

Riondino’s outburst speaks for itself and certainly achieved its purpose: attract some visibility and receive some applause from the left-wing audience. An exit which, however, risks fomenting hatred, considering the clear evocation of a killing. The climate is heavy, but the red galaxy does not seem willing to tone down.

With the roles reversed, there are those who would cry scandal and that the stability of democracy is being put at risk, but double standards are another characteristic of gauche caviar.
