Pininfarina cars wanted pay homage to the 1955 Lancia Florida, designed by Battista “Pinin” Farina. Model which was personally driven by the founder of Carrozzeria Pininfarina during his career and which can now be admired in the Pininfarina collection in Cambiano (Turin).

To celebrate this car from the past, very important for the history of the company, was created a unique example and very special of the Battista electric supercar.

UNIQUE SPECIMEN

Battista Fifty-five will debut in Tokyo on the occasion of its presentation to the Japanese public, in collaboration with partner SKY GROUP, as part of the continuous global expansion of Automobili Pininfarina.

The name “Cinquantacinque”, the company says, is a reference to the year of production of the car of the past. This special specimen is characterized by a bodywork in glossy Blu Savoia with contrasting glossy Bianco Sestriere roofinspired by the original prototype of the 1955 Lancia Florida. The car sports a series of inscriptions on the bodywork that recall the 1955 Lancia Florida. The license plate in the passenger side door and the lower part of the active rear wing are in fact embellished with the writing “Cinquantacinque 55”.

As for the interior, i coverings are in heritage Mahagoni leather by Poltrona Frau. No changes, however, to the powertrain. The electric supercar can therefore always count on 4 engines capable of delivering 1,900 HP (1,397 kW) and 2,340 Nm of torque. Acceleration 0 to 100 km/h in 1.86 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 4.75 seconds. 476 km of autonomy thanks to a battery with a capacity of 120 kWh. Dave AmanteaChief Design Officer of Automobili Pininfarina, commented:

We had the unique and special opportunity to design a car that pays homage to Pininfarina’s heritage. The incredible color combination of the Battistacinquecinque offers a glimpse of the idea that Battista Farina had when he designed the Lancia Florida in the early 1950s. And that’s not all: this model was my guide when I created the PURA Vision design concept, a car that defines a point of reference for all future Automobili Pininfarina models.
