The group A2A has acquired 70% of Parco Solare Friulano 2a company of EnValue Italia and MSE Solar Energy Italia which obtained the permit for construction and operation of a photovoltaic park in Friuli, in the Municipalities of Santa Maria la Longa and Pavia di Udinewith an authorized capacity of 112.1 MWp.

“This project, the most relevant in the photovoltaic sector in Northern Italywill make available to the territory and its productive fabric further green energy, helping to promote the decarbonisation path of an area characterized by great industrial dynamism”, he comments Renato MazzonciniCEO of A2A.

“The operation – he continues – will allow us to accelerate the achievement of the installed capacity target from renewable sources foreseen by our Industrial Plan – 5.7 GW by 2035. Furthermore, the location of the plant will allow a valorisation of energy more favorable with values ​​above the national average”.

With over 150 MWp installed in totalthis plant together with the one authorized in 2022 in the same municipalities for a capacity of 59.1 MWp will represent the main photovoltaic pole of the North of the country. They will in fact be produced over 210 GWh per year which will allow you to satisfy the electricity needs of over 75,000 families, to reduce natural gas consumption by approximately 40 million cubic meters and to avoid the emission of approximately 90,000 tons of CO2. The operation confirms the Group among the main players at national level in the development of strategic infrastructures for the country’s energy transition.
