Everything can always be improved: based on this concept, Toyota launched the new Yaris on the market. This is not a new version of the car but a sort of update of that car which since 2020, the year in which it was presented, continues to enjoy great success and conquer motorists from every corner of the world. So let’s get to know the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid 2024 better and in detail, discovering what’s new about this model, the available trims, the various features and also the price. In short, everything you need to know.

Toyota Yaris: the new Hybrid 130 engine

The big news present in the Toyota Yaris Hybrid 2024 is the new engine named Hybrid 130 with fifth generation full Hybrid electric technology. This new propulsion, which as we will see later is only available with some versions of the new Yaris (in the others the traditional Hybrid 115 is present), allows the car to have more decisive acceleration, also making it more agile.

To give an example: to go from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour, the Toyota Hybrid with the new Hybrid 130 engine uses 9.2 seconds. However, there is a lslight increase in CO2 emissions compared to the Hybrid 115 and move to 95/96 g/km (a figure that allows the Toyota Yaris to maintain the best numbers in the category).

Toyota Yaris: the available trims

The new 2024 Toyota Yaris Hybrid is available in well five setups different: Active, Trend, Lounge, GR Sport and Premiere Edition. Obviously each setup has its own characteristics and differences compared to all the others.

Toyota Yaris with Active trim: it is the basic setup, the entry level one, but it can still boast various standard options such as automatic climate control, the latest generation Toyota Safety Sense, the Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system with 9″ screen and wireless smartphone integration Apple Carplay and Android Auto, the exterior mirrors are electrically adjustable and redeemable. Furthermore, the car has 15″ steel wheels and the Hybrid 115 engine.

Toyota Yaris with Trend trim: it is the advanced version of the Active set-up. You can always count on the Hybrid 115 engine, as well as all the standard options present in the version you expect, plus the Toyota Yaris in this version has 16″ alloy wheels, the digital cockpit with 7″ screen, front LED headlights and rear, fog lights, and rear tinted windows.

Toyota Yaris with Lounge trim: the first major difference of this setup compared to the previous ones is represented by the new Hybrid 130 engine instead of the classic Hybrid 115. Furthermore, it has the Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system with a 10.5″ screen (instead of 9″), automatic climate control dual-zone, the wireless charger system, the mixed leather interior, the Smart Entry & Start system and 17″ alloy wheels.

Toyota Yaris with GR Sport trim: just as the Trend setup can be considered as a sort of evolution of the Active, the GR Sport setup can be considered as an evolution of the Lounge. It is still equipped with the Hybrid 130 engine and also has 18″ machined alloy wheels, the interior is equipped with leather and Ultrasuede sports seats, the paintwork is two-tone, there are the GR logos on the seats, on the steering wheel and on the car body.

Toyota Yaris with Premiere Edition trim: it is the latest trim available to choose from but is only available for a limited period of time. This is also a sort of evolution of the Lounge trim level and features a premium nine-speaker audio system, 17″ alloy wheels with an exclusive design, Blind Sport Monitor and parking sensors with automatic braking, app-based Digital Key.

Toyota Yaris: the dimensions

But how big is the Toyota Yaris Hybrid? We know that it is a B-segment small car, therefore a car that is not excessively large but still spacious and comfortable even if five people are traveling inside.

Its length is just under four metres, its width is 1.7 meters while its height is just over one and a half metres. However, the internal space is used intelligently and this is certainly one of the strong points of this car. Let’s now summarize the dimensions.

Toyota Yaris length: 3,940 meters

Toyota Yaris width: 1,745 meters

Toyota Yaris height: 1,500 meters

Toyota Yaris: consumption

Another very interesting aspect regarding the Toyota Yaris is that relating to consumption. In fact, there is practically no difference when choosing a model with a Hybrid 130 engine or one with a Hybrid 115 model: it is always up to you 4.2/4.3 litres every center of kilometers traveled (the one reported is the WLTP combined cycle data).

Toyota Yaris: safety systems

There are also important innovations regarding security systems including the Pre-Collision System (PCS) which is also able to recognize the risks of a possible head-on collision but is also able to recognize pedestrians, cyclists and even motorcyclists.

Among the safety systems present in the Toyota Yaris Hybrid we also find theAcceleration Suppressionwhich is nothing more than one function that intervenes to slow down the car when there is a concrete risk of impact with a vehicle in front.

And to reduce the risk of accidents, there is also the Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) which is active when the car is traveling at low speeds. In the event of sudden illness of the driver, theEmergency Driving Stop System (EDSS) which is able to detect if the motorist has not shown any signs of braking, steering or acceleration for a certain period of time: first, sound warnings are emitted and if there continue to be no signals from the driver, the car will stop it will stop on its own gradually.

Toyota Yaris: the price

But how much does the new Toyota Yaris Hybrid cost? The price obviously depends on the trim level you choose but also on a whole series of options you want to add, starting with the color of the bodywork.
