Felicia Kingsley is the most voted author of the year in the first Italian edition of the TikTok Book Awards. The seven winners, in the different categories of the Award, were announced at the 2024 Turin Book Fair, an extra large edition with a record number of visitors which ends on 13 May.
The other prizes were awarded to: Megi Bulla in the BookTok creator of the year category; A Good Girl’s a Dead Girl by Holly Jackson, as Book of the Year; Give Me a Thousand Kisses by Tillie Cole, Revival of the Year; Summer After Summer by Carley Fortune, Romance of the Year; Everything asks for salvation, TV Series or Film Adaptation of the Year and Mondadori Editore in the Publishing House of the Year category.
Thousands of people voted for their favorite authors, creators, books and publishing houses in the app, choosing from a shortlist of candidates who are much loved and active in the BookTok community. Emotions are the common thread of the award-winning books that explore themes related to adolescence, interpersonal relationships and the challenges of growing up. Each of the 7 winners will receive a cash prize of $5,000, entirely donated to charities in the field of cultural promotion, personally chosen by the winners.
