This year too theINPS is present at the Turin International Book Fair, with a stand, shared with INAIL, and many initiatives to encourage dialogue and participation with citizens and local partners. Participation in the Show, organized by INPS Communication in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Piedmont, is a fixed event which represents an opportunity to also speak with young people, to inform them about future rights, the importance of knowledge of the world of social security and work in order, highlighting all the opportunities that INPS also offers in the training field.

Among the many events hosted at the INPS stand was the award ceremony of the sixth edition of the A. Ferraro INPS National Literary Competition for fiction, poetry and comics. The event, now recurring on the occasion of the Book Fair, aims to recognize the creative and literary talents present among the Institute’s employees.

“I am pleased to have spoken again at the award ceremony of the national INPS competition, a literary prize that INPS – now in its sixth edition – wanted for employees who try their hand at writing – is the comment of Giulio Biino President of the Circolo dei Lettori Foundation – I have reiterated several times that I am a strong lover of readers, and I believe that there are too many writers, but INPS includes among its numerous employees some who actually show talents that deserve to be valued. Congratulations to the jury who every year manages to dig and come up with texts that arouse emotions and have their own literary value.”

“This moment, this award is very important for the City – comments the Deputy Mayor of Turin, Claudia Favaro – The presence of INPS inside the Show is important, the institute is one of the most illustrious realities of our country, it represents welfare; furthermore, rewarding your employees who write means paying attention to people, encouraging them to also bring out their feelings, their stories, their emotions”.

“It is an event that the Institute cares about in a particular way, aimed at our staff who have a talent and creativity that we want to enhance – declares Filippo Bonanni, INPS Piedmont Regional Director – The employees of the Institute dedicate themselves to writing, works published, unpublished, novels, poems, also for the purposes of organizational well-being. There are so many works we received, all of the highest level, and it was even difficult to award the prizes, confirming the creativity and sensitivity of our employees”.

“There are many initiatives in the pipeline – adds Diego De Felice INPS Central Communications Director – the seventh edition is certainly planned for next year but we have other similar initiatives: for example the painting, decoration and sculpture competition for the employees of the Institute which we award at Palazzo Wedekind in Piazza Colonna in Rome every year. Furthermore, we participate in many events, both with a closer connection with the world of social security, work or public administration, and more diversified events, or participation in the Book Fair as in this case, at the Giffoni Festival, at the Lucca Comics or at the Più Libri Più Liberi Fair in Rome. In this way we try to participate in the active and social life of Italy, somehow communicating a vision of the Institute that is closer to the people”
