Recognized by the National Center for Books and Reading in agreement with ANCI una “City that reads”Verucchio joins with the Don Milani Library to May of Books 2024 with a targeted project for children called “We draw fairy tales and then tell them with the Kamishibai Theatre”: an educational workshop curated by Franco Baldoni on Saturday mornings until the end of the month.

“We have been joining the May of Books since 2016 in a path in which our Library pays particular attention to the world of children by constantly organizing readings aloud with the active participation of parents, teachers and educators together with the volunteers of the Ci.Vi.Vo group ‘ Friends of the Library'” explains director Lisetta Bernardi: “This year we invite all children aged 6-10 years to a series of meetings with the artist and performer Franco Baldoni who will explain to them how to build and narrate a fairy tale with the theater Kamishibai. Each child will be guided and invited to create their own story, inventing both the text and the drawings; then he will read it to the other participants in the three meetings scheduled for Saturday 11, 18 and 25 May from around 10 to 11.30”. Participation is free but registration in the library is required (telephone 0541/671166, email: [email protected]).
