The novel retraces the events of a football team, Cosenza, and of the city at the turn of 2018, when the rossoblù returned to Serie B after fifteen years by beating Siena in the playoff final. A journey that pushes the protagonist Pìlar Caputo, a journalist, to return in the footsteps of his personal and professional events, of a team that has repeatedly come close to the dream of Serie A, of an organized fan base that wanted to change the city and of a group of friends who got lost and found each other on the steps of the curve.
A novel that at times becomes reportage and encounters a lot of Tuscany: the former Livorno striker, Cristiano Lucarelli; Paolo Stringara and “Free Inside”, his football project with the Sughere inmates; the former Viola Alberto Malusci, Stefano Fiore and Pietro Maiellaro.
