The event has the “speed date” formula: each participant brings a volume with them and presents it to another person for a few minutes. Then you change “companion”. Appointment Saturday 11th at 6pm
A new edition of will be staged on Saturday 11 May at 6pm “Speed Date: I’ll tell you a book”an event organized for the third time by the Municipal Administration of Besozzo on the lawn of Ciöss Park.
The mechanism is simple and fun: i participants bring a book with them and they have few minutes to meet another person (and another book) e exchange opinions on their respective volumes. At the ringing of the bell (every 8/10 minutes) the readers “they will rotate” and they will give life to a new meeting.
The event foresees maximum freedom over books to propose: you can bring novels, essays, biographies but also recipe manuals and any volume that you want to propose, recommend or indicate to others. It will therefore be a different afternoon, aimed at a heterogeneous audiencebecause everyone has a book to tell at home and because it is an original way of meeting new people and broadening one’s cultural horizons.
Entry to the speed date is free but it is reservations welcome which can be done by email [email protected]. The organizers remember to bring (in addition to the book) a blanket to sit on the lawn while in case of bad weather the event will be held inside the Reading Room.
