The May of books starts in Sezze – Luna Notizie – Notizie di Latina

SEZZE – “With the events connected to Il Maggio dei Libri, the cultural initiatives that the Municipality of Sezze is implementing come to life and which started with “Disequilibri”, the event organized by the Municipality and the Matutateatro association with the patronage of the Lazio Region, which includes invitations to read, meetings with the authors and the bibliocaravan, which achieved its first important successes in the first stage last Saturday at the nursery school in Via Colli and which will also be repeated in the coming weekends in other localities in the area. The May of Books represents an important initiative to promote culture and education through reading and sharing books. According to the Councilor for Culture Michela Capuccilli, this festival is not just a moment of leisure, but an opportunity to enrich the life of the city. “The Maggio dei Libri in Sezze acts as a bridge between authors, readers and communities. It is an opportunity to bring people closer to literature and stimulate cultural debate. The event is designed to involve people of all ages and promote reading as an essential practice for individual and collective development. It is – states Capuccilli – an inclusive and aggregative event that welcomes every member of our community. We want to encourage reading and make books accessible to everyone, especially young people.” Four events have been scheduled, which will take place within the spaces of the Archaeological Museum of Sezze, while two events have been included in the program of the event organized by the Compagnia dei Lepini. Finally, new this year is the organization’s support for the 12th edition of the national literary prize “St. George and the Dragon, the Book and the Rose”, organized by the parish of SS. Sebastiano e Rocco, which will take place on May 25th at the “Evado” cinema. Through meetings with authors, creative workshops and performances, the May of Books offers an interactive experience that inspires creativity and intellectual curiosity: “We want to catalyze new ideas and support artistic expression in our city. The May of Books is a moment of cultural growth for all of us and we are sure that it will have a large participation,” concluded the Councilor for Culture Michela Capuccilli.”
