Other than the trend of the moment: BookTok, the section of TikTok dedicated to books, consolidates its role in the publishing world. It does so especially in Italy where, for the 2024 edition, it is confirmed Official Entertainment Partner of the Turin Book Fair. At the event scheduled from 9 to 13 May 2024, the platform of ByteDance presents, for the first time in Italy, the TikTok Book Awards. In view of the initiative, the community with 19.7 million users in Italy will be asked to elect their favorite books, authors, creators and publishing houses, with a pre-selection by an exceptional jury led by Annalena Beninidirector of the Salon.

THE TikTok Book Awards were created to celebrate the BookTok ecosystem in Italy, highlighting the protagonists who contributed to its success. Rating categories, seven in total, comprise the category BookTok creator of the year; Below we present the candidates. These are young users who spread the love of books on social media, contributing to the expansion of TikTok’s offering and the entry of the community’s favorite novels into the charts.
