VOLLEYBALL A3M / Savigliano, the “classic” with Belluno to say goodbye to 2025 – Targatocn.it

With a bit more optimism and with the awareness that the victory against Cagliari was only the first step, the Monge-Gerbaudo Saviglianoonce the Christmas celebrations are over, he throws himself headlong into the trip that will close an intense 2025.

On Sunday 28 December at 4pm, in fact, the Piedmontese will pay a visit to Belluno for the last first leg of the White Group of the Serie A3 Credem Banca.

The opponent. It won’t be the easiest way to say goodbye to the calendar year for the Piedmontese, called to do the feat on the field of the third strength of the group. The Belluno team are returning from the clear 3-0 with which they battered at home that Stadium Mirandola which, just a week earlier, had given the same treatment to Serafini’s boys at the PalaSanGiorgio. In Emilia, the Venetians provided a solid and very effective performance in the offensive phase, with director Marsili distributing the balls well for the heavy arms of Giannotti, the counter-guarantee of the category, and for the spikers Corrado and Loglisci, authors of 30 points overall (14 and 16 respectively). The full success also earned them qualification to the final four of the Italian Cup, an achievement which confirms the quality of the group coached by coach Mastrangelo. Moving on to the performance statistics, the “blues” have lost only once at home, precisely in the last match in chronological order at the Spes Arena: last December 14th, when Sarroch won with a daring 3-2. Aside from that empty passage, however, the roadmap is perfect: three home games and as many full successes. Yet, the first three months of the season were also turbulent for Belluno who, despite a positive ranking, changed technical leadership during the year: Vincenzo Mastrangelo, in fact, inherited the job started by Marco Marzola, sacked last December 2nd. In short, an open construction site but of the highest quality.

Here Monge-Gerbaudo Savigliano. The Piedmontese are returning from intense weeks, culminating in the great success achieved at PalaSanGiorgio against Cus Cagliari which, hopefully, could have “uncorked” the season of coach Simone Serafini’s boys. One can also hope so Andrea “Charlie” Carlevaris: “Against Cagliari we did what we had to do for the first time in the season. It was a victory for us players, because we chased it so hard, remaining there even when we were in difficulty. Now comes a series of difficult matches, against quality opponents, but we believe in it and it is important that the whole environment believes in it. We will try to get a result even against well-equipped teams like Belluno, aware of our quality and our desire to get out of this position in the standings”.

Meanwhile, in the last few days the blue and white group has also experienced a change, with the farewell of libero Francesco Prosperi Turri and the arrival of spiker Andrea Bacco, fresh from his adventure in A2 in Cantù.

The precedents. Belluno and Savigliano are absolutely two of the teams that have faced each other the most among all those present in the White Group of Serie A3. There are 10 precedents: eight in the last four regular seasons and two in the quarter-finals of last season’s playoffs. The balance sheet has a decidedly Venetian accent: eight victories for Belluno, two for Savigliano, who have not achieved a success since the first leg of 2022/23. There will also be a former luxury player on the pitch: the spiker Andrea Schiro, MVP of the last championship match, who arrived in Piedmont in the summer after two years spent wearing the Belluno shirt.

Where to see it. Like all matches of the Serie A3 Credem Banca 2025/26, the match between Belluno Volley and Monge-Gerbaudo Savigliano will be broadcast on the Lega Volley YouTube channel. The appointment is at 4.00 pm on Sunday 28 December at the Spes Arena in Belluno.
