Nicchio won the fourth round of the Palio on 2 July, with Elias Mannucci known as Turbine on Akida. Quick start this morning too, even if a little “young”. The most ready is Enrico Bruschelli in the Pantera, who parades away in front of everyone with Viso d’angelo, followed by Valdimontone and Civetta, while the districts in the lower part of the canape remain still. The Pantera remains in the lead until the first Casato, when the Lupa passes, with Andrea Coghe known as Tempesta pushing Zenios. Then a new rotation between Lupa and Pantera, who set the pace until the second lap at Casato, when Nicchio came from behind and took the lead and went on to win the race. Many districts tried out ideas over the three laps, at various points on the track.
No changes regarding the pairs that were formed since the first test and that entered the ropes this morning in the reverse order of the third test yesterday evening (order of extraction of the Contrade for the assignment of the horses).
