DERUTA Father, mother and son burned by the explosion following a gas leak that occurred on Saturday afternoon in a farmhouse in Ripabianca. The most serious is the six-year-old boy who, after initial treatment at the Santa Maria della Misericordia in Perugia, was transferred by ambulance to the Meyer pediatric hospital in Florence. The father, 42 years old, and the mother, 36, will be fine in ten days due to light burns on their arms and legs. The three, a family of Tunisian origins, arrived at the emergency room in the car driven by the man. Firefighters and carabinieri were on site to trace the causes of the gas leak which could be linked to a malfunction of the heating system. The explosion caused heavy damage to the farmhouse’s fixtures.
