The Olivier Awards host left the red carpet furious after she was asked to show off her legs for Lens and the public approved of her reaction
The other women present gave her an ovation, but Hannah Waddingham she was furious to say the least when she left the red carpet of the Olivier Awards (the British recognition given by Society of London Theatre and intended for theatrical and musical works and performers). And she didn’t bother hiding it. What made the star of “Ted Lasso” so angry – who was also the host of the evening – was the inappropriate request that she heard from a photographer, while she was posing for the usual photos out of Royal Albert Hall. The man would in fact have asked her to show her legs in favor of her goal and at that point Waddingham exploded.
“Oh my God, you would never say something like that to a man, my friend,” commented the actress, visibly annoyed, before continuing her rant. «Don’t be an asshole, otherwise I’ll leave. Don’t say “show me your leg”. No”. This was then followed by another rapid exchange of words away from the microphones and in the end the actress moved away from the staircase at a fast pace and increasingly angrier, to join some people nearby, while the crowd welcomed with convinced applause and shouts of I approve of his reaction towards the photographer guilty of having made such a sexist and inappropriate request.
Obviously the entire scene was filmed by smartphones and ended up online, quickly becoming viral
