In “Trip to the Vallo di Diano”: not only from all over Campaniabut also from Molise, as well as from Calabria and Basilicata. They arrived from different regions i 46 artists who accepted the challenge launched by Extemporaneous Painting Competition ““Sala… Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”organized by City of Sala Consilinain collaboration with the Allegra Core Associationwith the advice of Lucio Mori and the patronage of Bank 2021.
The competition, included in Project “Trip to the Vallo di Diano”, saw the artists busy representing their “vision” of Sala Consilina for an entire week, immortalizing a glimpse of it and returning suggestive and evocative images of the city through their art. A challenging test, not only from a “technical” point of view but also from a “conceptual” point of view, because the theme of the Competition requires interpreting the territorial and timeless identity of the lead city of Vallo di Diano and its community. Succeeding in this by probably arriving in Sala Consilina for the first time from the provinces of Salerno, Naples, Caserta and Avellinobut also from Campobasso, Cosenza and Potenzarepresents a “challenge within the challenge” which fully captures the spirit of the “Viaggio nel Vallo di Diano” project, whose activities have in common a strong attraction towards the Valdiano area aimed at a varied type of target.
Council Hall therefore becomes absolute protagonist of the “Trip to the Vallo di Diano”starting right away since the inauguration of the exhibition linked to the Competition “Sala… Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, scheduled for Wednesday September 20th at 6.30pm at Fiordelisi Palace.
The historic building, overlooking Piazza Umberto I, is municipal property and has recently undergone major renovation works, aimed at being able to use it for public activities. The setup of the exhibition with the 46 canvases entered in the Competitionviewable until next time September 30ththerefore represents a perfect example of its potential.
It is certainly not an easy task that awaits the qualified Competition Jurywho will have to decide which works to assign the prizes made available by Bank 2021. The Credit Institute based in Vallo della Lucania, chaired by Pasquale Lucibellostrongly wanted to support this important cultural initiative, confirming its proximity to Vallo di Diano and Sala Consilina, and its commitment to local communities, which has always been aimed at the growth of the territory.
The Competition includes substantial prizesfor a total of 2 thousand euros: 1000 euros first place, 700 euros to the second e 300 euros per third.
