Worked the same for two weeks, despite a black eye, a broken nose and the stitches, because his sense of duty was stronger than the motorcycle accident that left him with a completely destroyed face. But in the end Beppe Convertini he had to give up and has now been hospitalized at San Filippo Neri in Rome for two days, because he underwent an operation. And it was the conductor himself who published a couple of photos from the hospital bed on Instagram, to tell his followers what happened to him.
“Hello friends, how are you? Unfortunately I have been in the hospital for two days – Convertini writes in the long post accompanying the shots – Here’s what happens to you when you’re on a motorbike and a car cuts you off…but thanks to Dr. Scopelliti and the staff of the San Filippo Neri in Rome my nose and eye are back in their place! In these two weeks I have worked despite a completely destroyed face, black eye, broken nose, stitches naturally due to the sense of duty inculcated in my family and in my beloved Puglia, the ancient values of our grandmothers and grandfathers: the family, work, respect precisely the sense of duty… In fact you have seen me with eyeglasses trying to cover by recording “LineaVerde” on Sundays on Rai1, a commercial and many other jobs…».
At some point though the conductor was forced to stop because the operation could no longer be postponed and the hospital stay is proving to be a useful experience. «There are many meetings in the hospital with people who are really suffering and need help, at least let’s remember to give them a smile, the most important therapy together with prayer», concludes Convertini, immediately submerged in wishes for a speedy recovery from friends, colleagues and fans.
