The accident took place in via Cariggi around 19.30 and following the impact between the two vehicles, the motorcyclist suffered serious consequences, so much so that he was transferred in code red to the San Gerardo hospital in Monza where he is still hospitalized with a confidential prognosis.
Based on what emerged from the first investigations, the young centaur, 24 years old, residing in the province of Lecco was riding a Ducati Monster when, probably due to the high speed, right on via Cariggi in Renate, he crossed the continuous line of center line invading the opposite lane and impacting frontally with an Audi A1 driven by a 51-year-old resident of Mariano Comense, who was proceeding regularly in his own lane.
Motorcycle with altered license plate and no insurance coverage
During the investigations, the Arma military also found that the motorcycle had an altered license plate and had no insurance coverage, which is why the 24-year-old was reported to the judicial authority for forgery, alteration and tampering with license plates. The motorcyclist was also administratively sanctioned for driving an uninsured and uninspected vehicle.
