Another tragic road accident that devastates the Mantovano. This evening, a 53-year-old woman, Simona Migliorini, a resident of Cavriana, lost her life. She was aboard a car that went off the road between Guidizzolo and Medole near the hamlet of Rebecco.
The exact dynamics of the accident have yet to be clarified by the Polstrada di Mantova. From the first reconstruction it seems that the vehicle independently left the roadway. Driving, according to the first testimonies, the 19-year-old son of the woman who was transferred by air ambulance to the Cremona hospital. Following the accident he suffered a head injury but at the time of the rescue he was awake and conscious.
Emergency services were immediately sent. The area is inhabited and even passing motorists have started calling the 118 emergency service. Three ambulances and a 118 medical vehicle with an emergency doctor on board rushed to the scene. An air ambulance then took off from Brescia. Unfortunately, there was a need to transport the wounded man by plane. The 19-year-old was transported to the Cremona hospital. Nothing to do, however, for the 53-year-old mother who was thrown out. On the spot the findings were carried out by the Mantua Traffic Police. The car, a Peugeot 206, came from Medole and went in the direction of Guidizzolo. After taking the left half-curve at Rebecco’s height, the driver must have lost control of the vehicle. The car skidded and left the roadway on the left with respect to the direction of travel, overturning several times in the field. The woman flew out of the vehicle. There was nothing for her to do
