Today’s edition of “Il Corriere dello Sport” focuses on the day’s negotiations in Serie A.
Nicolò Zaniolo (25) will wear the black and blue. It is not a return to the past (Inter), it is an eye that winks at the near future, they are the colors of Atalanta, the club chosen by the striker, eager to return to Italy after a long courtship conducted by Gian Piero Gasperini. In the last few hours the Lombard club has accelerated by reaching an agreement with the former Roma player, fascinated from the first moment by the possibility of playing in the Champions League. The European factor combined with that of Gasp has therefore won over Fiorentina and at the same time made inroads into the player born in ’99. And so, with his yes in the bag, the Goddess has also managed to get the ok from the Turks for a loan with an option to buy for 16 million euros: the obligation will come into force upon reaching certain objectives, including appearances.
CHANGES CHANGES. Meanwhile, the new departure of Nicolò Cambiaghi (23) is approaching, having returned to Bergamo after his loan at Empoli and followed by Como (in pole position), Genoa and, more distantly, Parma and Bologna. Certainly, the Lariani think they have the advantage for the young striker and, at the same time, they feel they still have Pau Lopez (29) in their grasp, given that the goalkeeper has already promised himself to Cesc Fabregas for a few days and yesterday there was the decisive contact with Marseille to define the formula of the transfer, on the basis of a loan with an obligation to buy in the event of certain objectives. Speaking of Parma: the Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki (22) from Sint-Truiden is arriving.
Genoa is therefore not changing its plans: it wants to close with the Croatian Dominik Kotarski (24), who is still the first choice after the departure of Josep Martinez (26). Speaking of number 1s: just yesterday Michele Di Gregorio (26) signed the last papers with Juventus.
GOODBYE ILIC. These are very hot hours for Torino and Ivan Ilic (23). Zenit have in fact put forward an offer of 25 million euros that the Granata consider satisfactory, while they are now waiting for a definitive response from the midfielder. In the meantime, the Granata club is still pressing for Brazilian full-back Wellington (23).
These are also the days of Jack Bonaventura (34), free after leaving Fiorentina and in the sights of Monza. But the playmaker’s future could be far from Serie A: the former Viola player has in fact asked his entourage to freeze the offer from the Brianza team, because he is attracted by an adventure abroad, preferably in America. The red and white club is not wasting any time: the aim is to secure the new agreement for Daniel Maldini (22), who has returned to Milan after last season’s experience. A similar plan for Cagliari, always in contact with Gianluca Gaetano’s entourage (24) to bring the midfielder back to Sardinia on a permanent basis. The sporting director Nereo Bonato is not interrupting the talks for Sebastiano Luperto (27) with the hope of quickly reducing the distance between the request and the offer. Meanwhile, yesterday, Empoli announced the arrival of Roberto D’Aversa (48). Udinese’s new season will officially begin on Monday. But the new coach Kosta Runjaic will not be able to count on the Chilean ex Colo Colo Damian Pizarro (19), made official yesterday: he is recovering from surgery to remove a cyst. Finally, Gaetano Oristanio (21) could end up at Venezia as part of the Tanner Tessmann (22) operation with Inter.
