When they asked him for his documents, he went berserk and began to rail against the Carabinieri, to the point of threatening to kill them. For this reason, the military personnel of the Porto San Giorgio force reported to the competent judicial authority a forty-year-old Calabrian, already known to the police, for the crime of threatening a public official. At the conclusion of the investigations, the man was sent for trial and will therefore have to appear before the judge of the Fermo court to be tried. Everything happened during a control activity in the vicinity of the train station, when the man was asked by the Carabinieri to provide identification documents.
However, the 40-year-old Calabrian had initially refused to do so, addressing insults and explicit threats, including death, towards the military of the Arma. At that point the Carabinieri of Porto San Giorgio, with the clear objective of preventing the situation from degenerating further, had asked for reinforcements from the military of the Arma of Porto Sant’Elpidio, who promptly intervened on site. Once they arrived at the train station, the Carabinieri had managed to get the man to collaborate, who had then provided his personal details at the request of the latter. He was subsequently accompanied to the offices of the Arma of Porto San Giorgio for the ritual formalities and to file a report.
