The latest findings of the scientific police they confirmed that the death of the architect Angelo Onoratohusband of MEP Francesca Donato, happened for suicide. The electrical strap found tightly around Onorato’s neck does not contain biological traces of other people, but only the DNA of the architect and the person who lent it to him on May 25.

As reported by theto the Republicthis data further supports the suicide theory, already supported by the autopsy carried out at theInstitute of Legal Medicine of the Polyclinic: Angelo Onorato died of suffocation and did not attempt to remove the band.
The coroner Thomas D’Anna found no signs of aggression or punches, nor traces of a possible attempt at defense. Only the mark left by the band around his neck. The latest tests confirm that Onorato would have tightened the band himself.

The investigators of the Homicide section of the Flying Squad are carefully examining the data recovered from the architect’s smartphone and tablet. A large amount of information, much of which had been deleted, has been recovered using sophisticated analysis techniques.
The suicide and the letter
Investigators are trying to find out if there was a discomfort, a blackmail or some other cause that can explain the extreme gesture of a man who chose not to confide his pain to anyone, neither his family nor his closest friends.
So far nothing has emerged nothing significantbut police continue to examine the recovered data.
One thing is certain: two days before taking his own life, Angelo Onorato delivered a letter to a lawyer friendtelling him: “If anything happens to me, give this envelope to my wife“.
The letter, written in February, outlined the family’s financial situation without mentioning his gesture.
The friend’s story
Another friend told the police that the mystery dates back to December: “At the end of the year, twice in the space of a week, he asked me how to get a gun.”
The team coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Ennio Petrigni and the investigators of the mobile squad also considered the hypothesis of a homicide, but in the passenger compartment of the Range Rover, where the body was found, everything was in order.
The investigation continues, with aFurther toxicological tests to complete the autopsy, in the hope of definitively clarifying the circumstances that led to the death.
