The Pistoia team wins the team match of the “home” event

It’s a weekend that has given satisfaction, the one just archived by ART Motorsport 2.0. The association chaired by Giuseppe Artino has conquered the victory in the team comparison at the Rally Valdinievole and Montalbano, an event that involved – over the weekend – the roads of the province of Pistoia.
Seven, the crews bearing the flag in the race: a choral effort that ensured the Valdinievole team to rise to the top of the rankings, conquering the top-ten with two crews.

Third overall was Luca Artino. Back to competition after eight months of inactivity, the driver from Lamporecchio delivered a lively performance, shared for the first time in the cockpit with co-driver Marco Ancillotti. The “home” driver won four consecutive special tests on the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo by MM Motorsport, taking the lead in the penultimate section of the programme, with a five-tenths margin over his closest pursuer. The final test saw him second overall, a result achieved on the field but subsequently scaled down due to a ten-second penalty for a delay at the final time control. Luca Fagni finished sixth, returning to the wheel of the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, also by MM Motorsport, after a year. Alessandro Massaro sat alongside him on the notes, sharing in a solid performance aimed, right from the start, at the top of the overall standings. Silver medal for Stefano Leporatti, on the Renault Clio S1600 provided by the Laserprom 015 team and shared with Maurizio Maccioni. The driver replicated the result achieved at the recent Rally di Reggello, confirming his competitiveness on the car, the thirteenth fastest of the race. Third step of the podium in the A7 class and victory in the women’s comparison for Maila Cammilli, called to the first seasonal commitment on the Renault Clio Williams. Good feelings expressed by the driver at the wheel of the French car, with which she classified twenty-fourth in the general classification together with Sara Vestrucci.

An over-the-top debut for Noemi Artino: the twenty-one-year-old driver from Lamporecchio, making her absolute debut in the left seat, took victory in the Under 25 competition at the wheel of the Renault Clio Rally5 of the Laserprom 015 team, shared with Leonardo Matteoni. A result above expectations for the young ART Motorsport 2.0 driver, one of the most beautiful discoveries of the race. A bitter retirement for Enrico Masi and Sabrina Cintolesi, who went off the road in the last special stage in the Peugeot 208 Rally4 of Masino Motorsport. A performance full of highlights but not concretized on arrival for Maurizio Corsi and Alessandro Morosi, constantly leaders of the A5 class in the Peugeot 106.
A strong performance by the co-driver of ART Motorsport 2.0, Andrea Gabelloni, second at the Rally Due Valli in the comparison valid for the GR Yaris Rally Cup, alongside Thomas Paperini. A context that has guaranteed him the leadership in the championship, after two events.
