The turning point in the two cases comes after months of investigations. The Carabinieri and the police, coordinated by the DDA of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, have executed the arrest warrant issued against the instigator and one of the material perpetrators of the brutal murder of Molè and the attempted murder of Pacchiarotti. The intervention of the special units of the NOCS of the police and the GIS of the Arma was necessary to track down the suspects. Yesterday evening, the blitz was launched that allowed the alleged instigator to be tracked down, in the Trullo area, and one of the alleged material perpetrators, hidden in a B&B in the western area of the capital armed with two pistols (a semi-automatic pistol and a revolver), loaded and with a bullet in the chamber. But the investigations revealed that the two men on the run were armed to the teeth in their hideouts in Corviale.
In fact, in recent days the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Rome and the Flying Squad had carried out searches inside some premises, attributable to the suspects, which allowed them to discover a real arsenal at their disposal. Inside there was a Beretta Gardone model pistol, caliber 7.65, with the serial number erased, a Beretta model 92x pistol, caliber 9×21, with the serial number erased, a Tanfoglio Force pistol, caliber 9×21, with the serial number erased, a sawn-off shotgun, with the serial number erased, an Uzi submachine gun, with the serial number erased, about a hundred 9×21 caliber cartridges and additional cartridges of other calibers.
